I really wanted to create a Draenei character from Warcraft that fit in more with the current generation of graphics, while still keeping some of the painterly and toony charm that Warcraft is known for. For her costume I wanted it to have large bold details with a hint of intricacy and a limited color pallet.
Next time I would like to exaggerate the shapes much more as well as push the painterly texture work further.
Highpoly bases were started in 3DS Max then sculpted in ZBrush and baked in XNormal. The image is a Viewport grab in 3DS Max using the Xoliul Shader 2 with Diffuse, Normal and Spec maps applied.
Rigged and posed by Alex Fundora.

Liked it alot
Draeneis are my second favourite race in the lore, after Tol'virs, so my favourite playable one. After all I've read and all the research I've done on them I have to congratulate you on multiple points.
First are the physical aspects, in all official art works draeneis have this mottled skin that we don't really retreive in the game, and this one is very beautiful. The scales on the forehead are something I really like, same for a female draenei, I think that Blizzard is loosing so much of World of Warcraft races heritage by trying to make them look ridiculously pleasant (Female worgens being a real abomination imo).
Seconde is the gear and weapon, they are really representative of this race, sad that we can't find more of those in the game, the rare ones being the T4 paladin and Gruul's 2 handed hammer if I remember correctly. This set does makes me feel like she is some important guard, maybe Velen's last rampart. I wonder how you would manage a heavily armored version of this gear to make it looks more like a templar.
Anyway congratulation for this awesome work, I'm very interested to see how it will evolve
